Christmas Vacation
Well, Christmas vacation is slowly coming to a close for another year. It always amazes me how fast vacation comes, and then how quickly it goes. We (teachers) have had 2 much needed weeks off. It has been very nice to relax and put my feet up.
The season began with our school Christmas concert. It was a labour of love for Karrie (the 4-6 teacher at Briercrest) and myself. We had started to prepare for the event in late November, and it was pulled off December 20th. It was sure nice to have that done and out of the way, lots of stress involved in preparing for an event like this.
Christmas Eve was spent with family. Kev's dad came over in the afternoon to exchange gifts and have a visit. We then headed to Mom and Dad's for Christmas Eve. We of course pulled out all of the gifts (this is tradition) to shake them one last time. Then off to bed. It seems like even as an adult I find it hard to get to sleep on Christmas Eve. Anticipation I guess. But I managed to sleep until 8:30 (the longest I have ever slept till on Christmas morning). Kevin and I then got up to look at our socks- I woke Brett up in our traditional way- I flung the covers off of him and he bagged for a few more minutes- but tough. After socks all 3 went down stairs to watch the beginning of the Walt Disney World Christmas Parade. Only watched the first 15 minutes- because we tape it and watch the whole thing on Boxing Day.
It was present time. We are all very spoiled and got some wonderful gifts. I got both a Coach and Dooney bag this year. (I love them both)

Kevin got me some wonderful things including my annual Gap gift card. It is great to be able to go in and buy whatever I want without thinking about it. I will be saving this for after baby- when normal clothes start to fit again.
Anyway after this we headed out to the farm to spend time with the Fowler side of the family. Seems like every year the "crew" gets bigger as the "seven" add boyfriends and girlfriends to the mix.
The next week flew. Heidi and Ryan were married on the 29th. Taking our "seven" to "nine" in the last 2 months.
I will post my thoughts on the upcoming year later.
