Bad Night
Well, yesterday I woke up feeling very rested. I think that I slept well. We had a good day- went to church- out for lunch- then I went over to mom and dad's for a bit while Kevin was at the men's buisness meeting at church. After that we went and rented a movie- and then went home and sat on our deck for about an hour. We had supper and watched the movie. During the movie I started getting my wonderful Braxtin Hicks contractions. They were actually very uncomfortable. This went on for about 2 hours- so at 9 I decided to go to bed. Well, they continued on till about 2 in the morning. I was very close to waking Kev up to go to the hospital, but tried hard to go to sleep. I finally did around 2:30ish. I then woke up at about 4 and had terrible heart burn.- I took a acid reducer and tried to elevate my head. I finally went back to sleep. I then woke up at 6 when Kev's alarm went off (which I don't usually hear). So all in all it was my worst night yet- hope tonight will be better.

I imagine you were very tired today. That was a bad night. Hope you are able to just relax and really sleep tonight.

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but this is pretty common during the last few weeks of your pregnancy, so it's likely to continue! It does serve a purpose, though--consider it nature's way of getting you prepared for the long nights you will experience once baby comes. To put a positive spin on it, you will be amazed at the number of things you'll be able to accomplish in your sleep-deprived state after baby's born that you may not have been able to do before without a full-night's sleep! Take care!

P.S. Take time to really enjoy the movements you feel from the baby these last few weeks--I really missed feeling those once my kids were born, especially since that was a connection no one else but me shared with them!
