Love You Forever

It is amazing how things change. When I was a kid one of my favorite books was Robert Munsch's "Love You Forever". I don't know why this was one of my favorites, I guess I liked the repetition. But, it's amazing how you can come back to something years later and it can mean something totally different to you. This is the case with this story.

My class has been working on an author study of Robert Munsch, and this is one of the books we have read. I can't help but getting chocked up while reading it.

This is how the first page starts:
"A mother held her new baby and very slowly rocked him back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. And while she held him, she sang"

I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living my baby you'll be."

As a child you don't realize how deep a parents love goes. Not until you become a parent (or a soon to be parent) are you actually able to know this feeling. Amazing.

Yes how time does change our perspective on how we view things.
Seems like only yesterday that you were the one being rocked and sang to, and yet, it only seems like yesterday it was your dad I rocked.
A Lovely Story
So you were surprised at your Grandparents being able to navigate the blog. If the truth was told we had a little fine tunning help in having the oicture put in the profile, I saw where you went to do that, but then didn't know how to take it from there.

The phrase "Been there done that" comes to mind. I to remember the reading of the book. Amazing how wonderful stories bring out the "truth" in our lives. We will love our babies forever ... Dad
