Yesterday

Yesterday we got some not so pleasent news. We found out that I am going to have a c-section. The baby is breech. I was worried that this might happen- last week at the ultrasound the baby was head up. Yesterday when the doctor checked me he came to the same conclusion. I am still not sure how I feel about this. I guess it is just a matter of changing our plans a bit. What is best for the baby is what we will do. So I am waiting to hear from the doctor who does the c-sections to set up an appointment.

It will be okay. Not what you were expecting I know, but this will be best for baby and you.

It's always hard when you expect things to go a certain way and then things change! It is, however, good to have some time to make peace with this before you go in to have the baby. There are definite advantages here, though--safety, of course, as well as not having to wait around until you are potentially a couple of weeks overdue (not fun!). You will have this baby earlier than expected, because they likely won't want you to go into labour! Good luck, and if you have any questions about what to expect, feel free to ask me or Donna!

Another time when life throws a slightly different curve into the picture than what was expected, but Beck's you have dealt with other unexpected curves in your short life time that you have handled well, and this will be no exception.
As you begin focusing on this way of giving birth there will be some blessings there for you, that both your mom and Tracy have identified as well as others you have probably already thought of.
So be assured of the fact that others you know have gave birth this way, and lots of others who probaly thought "I wish I could have"

Another change in "plans" hey kids! It's amazing how we like to have things all in order and woops, things change. Either delivery way, all we want is a healthy, safe baby (and of course Daddy & Mommy also!) Douglas was breach until about two weeks before he was born and then he turned around--and oh my, don't think that wasn't a painful deal!!! It happened at work and I thought I must be in labour and was going to have that baby right there on the spot. He was 8 lbs. 13 ozs, so it was allot of baby to do somersaults in there!! Anyway, just know that there are lots of prayers being said on your behalf. Love you both! Uncle Danny & Auntie Linda
